Check Here For Stuff You Didn't Know Existed

but now you do you'll "need" to buy. Manufacturers all year long are introducing new products and updating existing lines. Unless your local marine store has an unlimited line of credit or you wish to spend countless hours on the internet you are unlikely to become aware of them. Until that is, The Boat Show. The marine suppliers and marine stores are all in The Marketplace and all showcase their latest and best with the marine stores all striving for the "best" price. Some good "buys" are always available so bring that list of things that you know need to be replaced.

Gets us in the mood for summer!

Whether or not we're shopping for a boat or otherwise, just being around all the summer toys and cottage related products get us out of winter blues mode. This show’s a must do for our family!

New Boaters

My wife ,son and I visited the Toronto Boat Show last year with the intention of meeting with a broker we had been in contact with on line. We were looking at a sailboat for the family as well as our grandchildren ( who would be the crew). During our visit we took in a seminar for new boaters on what to look for when purchasing a used boat, which was very informative. We met with the broker who showed us a few boats that we were interested in and made arrangements for a site visit in March when we were on vacation nearby. I had no intention of purchasing a boat without a marine survey, which turned out to be the best move as the boat we were originally interested in, the surveyor said he would not go out in the boat for a sea trial as he was concerned with the bulkhead support and the mast may have come down. He had done a survey 2 years previous on the boat and this defect was not present at the time. We decided to purchase another identical model boat that the broker also had available and have enjoyed sailing on Lake Huron this past summer. This is our first boat we have owned. Can'r wait until January for the show again as there are some additional items we are looking to purchase for the next sailing season. I also rejoined the Canadian Power Squadron after a 30 year absence and my wife became a new member as well.

Excellent place for new products and safety info

As a relatively new sailboat owner, but one who has canoed and kayaked my whole life, this is a great place to find new products for all my water hobbies and there is great information about the latest in water safety. The free seminars are a real bonus. It is also nice to be able to board new boats and get ideas about how to re-vamp my older boat. The salespeople are often great and exert little pressure.

Toronto Boat Show

Excellent place to view & review all brands of boats/watercraft. If you are in the market you can speak with the exports to discuss and compare value to make an informed purchase choice. The show is well organized and easy to navigate to your various areas of interest. There is a wide selection of vendors and you will see many interesting items that may not be readily available to you in your geographic area. I would strongly recommend attending the show weather you are looking to buy a boat, purchase some accessories or simply looking for a day of "window shopping".
